A dictionary is your personal vocabulary list. Add names, brands, abbreviations, and other terms you use often so SpeakON recognizes them more accurately in future recordings.
Up to 200 terms are supported. Each term can be up to 50 characters. All entries are active across all recording sessions.
Add a term manually
- Open the SpeakON app and go to the Dictionary from the home screen, or via Account > Settings > Dictionary.
- Tap the + button in the lower-right corner.
- Type the term you want SpeakON to recognize.
- Tap the checkmark to save.
Add multiple terms at once
- Go to Dictionary.
- Tap the list icon in the upper-right corner to open Bulk Edit.
- Enter one term per line, or paste a list.
- Tap the checkmark to save. If you've reached the 200-term limit, remove an existing term before adding more.
Add terms from Voice Edit suggestions
When you correct the same word three or more times using Voice Edit, SpeakON may suggest adding it to your Dictionary.
A prompt appears: Add "Mike" to your dictionary?
Tap Add to save it, or Cancel to dismiss. If you cancel the same suggestion twice, it won't appear again for that term.
Will the Dictionary replace words I didn't intend?
No. The dictionary matches only on strict word boundaries. Adding "apple" won't affect "pineapple."
