Speak in one language and get ready-to-use text in another. Translate as you speak using Translation mode on the SpeakON keyboard, or use Voice Edit (on the keyboard or in Notes) to translate existing text.
Before you start
Set your language pair in Account > Settings:
· Dictation Language — the language you'll speak
· Translation Language — the language you want SpeakON to output
SpeakON currently supports 12 languages: English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic.
Translate as you speak
- Open an app and tap inside a text field.
- On the SpeakON Voice Keyboard, swipe left — the Translation keyboard slides in from the right.
- Tap the language pair shown above the translation button and confirm your input and output languages.
- Tap or hold the translation button and speak in your Dictation Language.
- Tap or release when done. SpeakON places the translated text in the field.
- To refine the result, tap the pencil icon and use Voice Edit.
To return to the standard Voice Keyboard, swipe right.
Translate existing text with Voice Edit
From the keyboard: After SpeakON generates text, tap the pencil icon and say the translation instruction. Example: "Translate this into Chinese."
From inside a Note: Open or create a Note, tap Voice Edit in the lower-left corner, and say the translation instruction. Example: "Translate this Note into English."
Translation requires Allow Full Access to be enabled for the SpeakON keyboard. Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > SpeakON > Allow Full Access.
