Reset your deviceUpdated 8 minutes ago
A factory reset erases all Bluetooth pairing data on the device and restores it to factory settings. Use it when switching the device to a new phone, or as a last resort for persistent connection issues.
Your SpeakON account is not affected. Recordings already synced to the app are not deleted. Only unsynced recordings stored on the device will be lost.
Before you reset
Sync the device with the SpeakON app to transfer any unsynced recordings. Once the reset is done, those recordings cannot be recovered.
How to perform a factory reset
Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds (device on or off).
The red and blue indicator lights alternate 3 times, then turn off. Two long vibrations. The device is now reset.
After the reset
Open the SpeakON app, go to Account > Device, and tap Add Device to pair again.
Reconnect without a full reset
Try this first before performing a factory reset:
- In the app, go to Account > Device and remove the current pairing.
- Restart the device (hold Power 2s off, then 2s on).
- Restart your iPhone.
- Return to Account > Device and tap Add Device to re-pair.
Firmware upgrade failed or is stuck
· Make sure the device battery is at least 20% charged.
· Make sure the SpeakON app is on the latest version.
· Keep the device within 1 metre of your phone during the upgrade.
· Try switching between WiFi and mobile data if the download is failing.
If the upgrade consistently fails after a reset, contact support with your serial number and app version.
