Before you start
Make sure your iPhone is running iOS 16 or above. Check in Settings > General > About.
Make sure the SpeakON app is updated to the latest version.
Make sure your phone has an active internet connection. Login, sync, and most app features require one.
Most issues on this page are resolved in a few steps. If something isn’t covered here, reach out to the SpeakON support team at the bottom of this article.
Login & Account
I can’t log in
Quick check: SpeakON supports three login methods: Apple, Google, and email (verification code, no password). Logging in is the same as registering. There is no separate sign-up step. Make sure you’re using the same method you used originally.
Step 1: Check your internet connection.
Step 2: Force-close the SpeakON app and try again.
Step 3: If you’re unsure which method you used, try all three. Apple, Google, and email logins are separate. Using a different method will open a different account.
Step 4: If none of them work, contact support with the login method you’re trying and the email or Apple ID associated with your account.
I’m not receiving my verification code
Step 1: Check your spam or junk folder.
Step 2: Make sure the email address you entered is correct.
Step 3: Wait a minute. Delivery can occasionally be delayed.
Step 4: Request a new code. Only use the most recent one; earlier codes become invalid once a new one is sent.
Step 5: If codes consistently don’t arrive, try logging in with Apple or Google instead.
App
The SpeakON app won’t open or keeps crashing
Step 1: Force-close the app and reopen it. On iPhone, swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or double-press the Home button), find the SpeakON app card, and swipe it up to close.
Step 2: Restart your iPhone and try again.
Step 3: Check that your iPhone is running iOS 16 or above and that the app is updated to the latest version.
Step 4: If the issue continues, delete the app and reinstall it from the App Store. Your account and cloud data are preserved after reinstalling.
Step 5: If it still won’t open after reinstalling, contact support with your iPhone model, iOS version, and app version.
Keyboard Setup
The SpeakON keyboard isn’t showing up in other apps
Note: The SpeakON keyboard needs to be enabled in your iPhone settings before it works in other apps. This is a one-time setup.
Step 1: Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards > Add New Keyboard and select SpeakON.
Step 2: Tap on SpeakON in your keyboard list and turn on Allow Full Access. This is required for the keyboard to function.
Step 3: In any app with a text field, tap the field to open the keyboard, then tap and hold the globe icon to switch to SpeakON.
Step 4: If SpeakON doesn’t appear in the Add New Keyboard list, make sure the app is installed and fully updated, then try again.
Pro Trial
My 14-day Pro trial hasn’t activated or I can’t find it
The trial activates automatically after you complete onboarding. No payment or sign-up is needed.
Step 1: Open the Account page in the app. If the trial is active, you’ll see “14 Days Pro Trial (X days remaining)” on your membership card.
Step 2: If you haven’t finished onboarding, complete it first.
Step 3: If onboarding is done but the trial isn’t showing, force-close the app and reopen it.
Step 4: If it still isn’t there, contact support with your account details.
Subscription & Billing
I upgraded to Pro but can’t access Pro features
Step 1: Force-close the SpeakON app and reopen it. The app needs to refresh your account status after a purchase.
Step 2: Check your Account page. Your status should show “Pro Active.” If it still shows Free or Starter, wait a moment and pull down to refresh.
Step 3: Confirm the purchase completed in App Store. Go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions and check that SpeakON Pro is listed as active.
Step 4: If the purchase shows as completed in App Store but Pro features still aren’t active, contact support with your Apple ID and the purchase date.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
SpeakON subscriptions are managed through Apple. To view, change, or cancel your plan:
Go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > SpeakON Pro.
Changes take effect at the end of your current billing period. SpeakON support cannot process subscription changes or refunds directly. These are handled by Apple.
Account & Data
My data is missing after reinstalling the app
Uninstalling the app clears local data, but your account and cloud data are preserved.
Step 1: Log back in using the same method you originally used. A different login method opens a different account.
Step 2: If cloud backup was on, your data will sync back after logging in. If cloud backup was turned off before you uninstalled, local data that wasn’t backed up cannot be recovered.
How do I delete my account?
Account deletion permanently removes all your data, both local and cloud, and cannot be undone.
Go to the Account page in the SpeakON app and find the account deletion option in Settings. If you need help finding it, contact support.
