Text output issuesUpdated 9 minutes ago

Proper nouns and names are transcribed incorrectly

Add the term to Dictionary. Go to Dictionary from the app home screen or Account > Settings > Dictionary. Once saved, SpeakON recognizes it more accurately in future recordings. You can also let Voice Edit build your Dictionary over time by correcting the same word repeatedly.

The output doesn't sound like what I said

If Auto Format is on, SpeakON removes filler words and repeated content — this is expected. To get the exact words you said, go to Settings and set Auto Format to Off or Ask. If Style is active, the wording may also be adjusted for tone — check the tone label on the keyboard and switch to Natural if needed.

The output is in the wrong language

Check your Dictation Language setting in Account > Settings. If Translation mode is active on the keyboard, swipe right to return to the standard Voice Keyboard.

The output is cut off or incomplete

Each recording session is up to 5 minutes — if you spoke longer, it stopped automatically. Press Record again to continue. If shorter recordings are also cut off, check your internet connection.

The output appears in the wrong place or doesn't appear at all

Make sure you've tapped inside a text field before recording. If no input field is in focus, output goes to your Notes list. Check that the SpeakON keyboard is the active keyboard.

The output has unusual formatting or symbols

Try turning off Auto Format temporarily (Settings > Auto Format > Off) and recording again. If the issue persists, contact support with a description of what you said and what came out.
